Privacy Policy

Art Explorer is a ChatGPT app operated by Intrinsent LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). It lets you search and view paintings drawn from open cultural collections. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle.

Art Explorer has no user accounts and does not collect, store, or sell personal information.

When you ask Art Explorer to find artwork, the text of that request (for example, a subject, era, or theme) is sent to our service so we can retrieve matching works from public art databases. We use this query only to generate the results you asked for.

We do not ask for, receive, or store your name, email address, account identifiers, location, or any other personal information.

• No accounts, profiles, or passwords.
• No names, email addresses, or contact details.
• No advertising or behavioral tracking, and no cookies set by the app.
• No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.

We do not retain your search requests. A query exists only for as long as it takes to fetch and return results, and is not stored, logged in production, or associated with you. The app keeps a short-lived cache of artwork data (not personal data) to improve performance, which expires automatically.

Our hosting provider may record standard, transient operational metrics (such as aggregate request counts) needed to run and protect the service. These are not used to identify individuals.

To deliver results, Art Explorer retrieves data and images from the Wikimedia Foundation's public APIs, including Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata. The app is hosted on Google Cloud Platform. Because you reach Art Explorer through ChatGPT, your use is also governed by OpenAI's own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent any information to anyone.

You can disconnect Art Explorer from ChatGPT at any time, which immediately ends the app's access. Because the app holds no accounts and stores no personal information, there is no profile or history tied to you to review or delete.

Art Explorer does not track users across websites or over time, so there is no behavior to change in response to a browser "Do Not Track" signal. We do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity through the app.

Art Explorer is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no personal information, it does not build profiles of any user.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
